Hoare House

Maybe It’s Time For Sussex Education Classes

A local council in East Sussex, England, is set to ban "rude" street names such as Hoare Road and Cracknuts Lane. Lewes District Council has drawn up guidelines for new street names to avoid double entendres and unflattering place names.

FOOTNOTE: Streets ahead.

Sometimes I despair at the silliness of those who have been voted into office to take care of our streets, housing, hospitals, etc. who spend our good money and their [one supposes] valuable time on discussing, presumably in council, with all the pomp and ceremony so beloved by those who seek office - the incredible subject of Mrs. Tight Arses indignation and objection to having to pass these signs whilst walking her dog-or on her way to church. The same idiots who decide to ban Conkers, or to stop children playing on slides. AHHHHHH!!!!!! I'm screaming, silently, but with passion.

Word verification is : bastesse, nearly right.

Heh! The tidy minds of tiny people. Wonder when they'll get around to Piddle, Shitterton, Old Harry and Pokesdown in the awfully rude county of Dorset?

Oh no, now I've heard it all!

So I wonder if they will also change the name of the county to "Sus" being as there is "sex" at the end of it?!!! I think that is much more blatant than the street names....

Soon our streets wil be as grey as their lives must be. Still, 'tis a councilman's duty to stamp out the fun, eh?

Once again "Correctness" rears it's ugly head...I'd vote for "Get Your Mind Out of the Gutter Blvd" as a cross street with any one of them!
