The Long And Winding Wall

It Stretches A Bit Further Than We Thought

The Great Wall of China is 180 miles longer than previously thought. The extra miles of the world-renowned ancient monument were uncovered after a two-year government mapping study. The project used mapping technologies such as infrared range and GPS devices to show extra portions of the wall hidden by hills, trenches and rivers.

Must be something in the air, David. Did you read in the paper that the Kiwis have just found out that their North & South Islands were never officially, named? So, I guess losing a bit of a wall is nothing compared to "losing" the names of the biggest parts of your country!! :) Off-topic, David, but will we be having the pleasure of your company at the annual CTR fundraiser dinner dance this year here in Melbourne? I hope so...it's great fun. :)

Oops! Sorry, David, meant to say, if you haven't been to a CTR dance before....it's an Anglo-Indian function, raising money for Calcutta Tiljallah Relief. And yes...I would forget my head if it wasn't screwed on!! :-/

Just a little 180 miles like from Bristol to Liverpool - amazing! These Chinese must have been 'bricks'
