Verse And Worse

Random Wit, Errant Rhyme. Not A Literary Crime

Alas, poor Yorick, he’s quite historic
But please forgive us if we sound euphoric
Shakespeare spoke of his "excellent fancy"
But wait till you meet his half-sister Nancy

Sorry to say I have not met,
Nancy, the sister of Hamlet.
But the joke's not only on Yorick the jester
Because I have met his other sister, Lester.

Oh, how sad, finally, this time has come
For poor David has fallen into the Rum
Oh, what poor rhyme is he chanting today?
Trying to chase the Rum soaked spirits away.

Nancy was a mad one,
Nancy was a loon.
Nancy built a spaceship
And travelled to the moon.

(Based on an older rhyme)

Nancy planted moonflowers, starplants and night blooms

Then set them out in pretty vases all thoughout her lonely rooms

"If the moon can move the ocean tides, and make sweet ladies cry,

Then perhaps the moon can bring a love to ladies such as I."
