Going The Whole Hog

They're Singing For Our Supper

Familiar tune, but you didn't recognise the words? Dozens of British pig farmers gathered in London on Thursday, aiming for an Internet hit with their song "Stand by your Ham". The song reworks Tammy Wynette's "Stand by Your Man". The farmers had little or no singing experience but they are relying on affection for traditional British pork products from pies to sausages. The track will be available for download from PigsAreWorthIt.com.

FOOTNOTE: Central Pork.
