Weekend Wandering

Please answer today's question on your own blog, any time until next weekend. Just link to this blog (or to this post) so I can follow the progress of the discussion. The question is:

Who REALLY rules the TV remote control in your house?

The remotes are controlled by my other half, since the TV would rarely be on if it were just me.

I am going to answer that question here too. The answer is ME ... It's always the woman who has that thing because the man is too lazy ...

:-D

I do! The carers can choose to watch TV with me or in the sitting room, so its definitely me in charge!!

No one ... we, by choice, have no T.V.

mostly me really at home as my wife has her own TV upstairs, but if we are both in the room together it'll be herself.

LOL that's a good one David!

Hi David, there is so much garbage and repeat shows on our TV channels that it is a matter of pride not to use the remote.

Fortunately our interests are very alike so there is never any conflict.

When I watch the wrestling though, it is usually motivation for Sue to leave the room get stuck into her painting.

We have a TV in the bedroom, which is rarely turned on, but it does give us an alternative.

A radio announcer once made the satement that he keeps a bowl of onions on his TV set, because it goes well with the tripe.

My husband, David. There's not much more to say about it! He says I don't know how to use it! Ha!

Remote? Hmmm I do have one somewhere. Actually, I never used it until the knob on TV got broken. . . now I have it handy at all times.

I hate having the telly on, I'm always turning it down, but my kids would have it on for hours if I let them. When it's on, I'm ultimately in control. But I let them take the wheel, and between them I'd say the girl (age 7, nearly 8) has control 75% of the time; the boy (only just turned 6) 25%.

they are controlled by mr. lime and the kids. no ifs, ands or buts about it.

i don't usually participate in this so i'm just gonna answer here lol we have several tvs and so everyone has their own remote.

i don't like to watch too much tv so during the day i do have control of it, but when my husband his home he thinks that is his que to change a program i am in the middle of watching. i had to remind him that he is not the master of the remote just because he came home lol

Pam said...

btw i'm the one who programs all the remotes to work everything else so that i only need one remote. my husband doesn't program em because he doesn't know how. he will still use all the different remotes for the dvd, the tv, the box, etc. lol

I ran into Stacy when she did an inbedded Blog in www.JigZone.com. I am an Opnion Poster mainly have been since 1994. Windows 3.1 and a 14.4 Modem, on 356 enhanced Computer. You can Goggle me under Awesomeron or Awsomeron and come up with links to my work. I don't Blog yet because I want to be Read. As good as Stacy is she only has 136 members at last count. I took up JigSaw Puzzles for stress relief and keying in Jigsaw Puzzles I found Jigzone. I love JigSaw Puzzles but with 3 Cats and 1 Rabbit real Puzzles are a problem. Jigzone and the Net make it all posible again. If your doing Puzzles you want the best pictures you can get. Stacys work is outstanding. She Posts and Links a New Puzzle 5 days a week. I don't care what she says the Q City work is the Best. Her South America and Greek work is real close. I like Murel Art so Q City is really Special. Stacy the Hawk Picture is outstanding. She also shows the Best Work from other Bloggers. My new Windows Vista came with a Good Game of Computer Chess so my time is a little split. I do not play much Tetris anymore except on my Game Boy. I hardly ever Shoot Ducks. Chess has helped my Cogntive Thinking. 200 or so games later I am still on level 1 because I will not promote my self till I can Win or Draw 70% of 100 games. I keep leaving my self open but less and less. I used to play very well before i discovered Tetris and Game Boy. I know longer had to find games and play with people and have people come up and say whos winning when you have 6 moves in your head. I love Puzzles also and do a couple daily.Stacys other Web Site is Rambling Puzzler.com. I live in Hawaii at the West End of an Island with a high speed modem.

David, this is a very late reply to this weekend wandering. I was looking for this weeks but saw you'd not done one for a little while. Hope you're ok.
