Forget World Peace, Let’s Just Add Up Correctly
An accounting mix-up led to the wrong woman being crowned Miss California USA. Christina Silva, 24, was declared the winner of the annual state beauty pageant, but she gave up the title to Raquel Beezely, who was originally named second runner-up. Beezely, 21, will represent the state at Miss USA next April. Silva has hired a lawyer and is weighing her legal options.

Now would this be a sore-loser or sore...uh...winner?
Remember, Dave, that’s California, where folks can get as involved (more involved?) in a beauty pageant than in the wild fires in the southern half of the state and the blizzards in the northern quarter of the state.
I'm surprised this didn't happen to Ms. Florida.
Hi, Mr. Dave:
I chuckled aloud at your amusing subheading:
Forget World Peace, Let’s Just Add Up Correctly
You'd be amused at how that line relates to my chosen vocation, which involves a tally every four years with contestants that are everything but beauty queens.
And oh, yes, the lawyers do get involved.
BFF,
Miss Trashahassee
um.....nick....I beg to differ...
Her legal options are to learn to be a gracious loser, and shut her yap.
(hi David!)
Alternate Footnote:
The long divided judging panel makes an addition to the end results to multiply their chances of getting the outcome correct...
