Any idea what this photograph (above) depicts? A thick strip of licorice? Stripes on a wall? Some crazy rendering of an old-time television test pattern? No idea? Give up? Okay, have a look at the photograph below and you'll see immediately what I've shot. It's simply a broad set of outdoor stairs at the Flemington Showgrounds. So why did I photograph the sight? Because of the unusuals colours, I guess. But then again, who needs an excuse to take a photograph?

Being here in Nashville, I was thinking it was the empty seats at a Vanderbilt football game. (To explain the reference, Vanderbilt hasn't had a winning season in 24 years.)
I guessed correctly. Very interesting perspectives.
I 'saw it' right away. My first thought was 'stadium stairs'. Nice shot....as always.

I do the same thing... just see a design, angles, colors, patters... and just HAVE to shoot a photo.
