Economy Of Scale

If A Fish Is High Fashion, Is That Like Fission?

The fashion market has a new addition, a bikini made from the skin of the tilapia fish. A Thai designer has thought of a new way to use the skin of a fish that is usually thrown away, by making it into a bikini. The tilapia fish is often eaten by street vendors, but the skin is durable and waterproof, making it a perfect material for handbags, wallets and bikinis. To view footage of the bikinis being modelled, or to see the other products made from the fish skin, go to Reuters.

FOOTNOTE: Just don't wear it with tartar sauce.

It not only makes sense, it looks good too.

They could market it as "pre-swam" bikinis, similar to "pre-washed" jeans. They really make a lovely leathery swimsuit.

Yeah, I saw it too in the news. But my reason to comment here is the footnote. :-)

Classic...

so you'd say the designer of the fish bikini is scaling back to minmal coverage?

Tilapia is yummy. We had it for dinner last night. I baked it foil in the oven with oilve oil, lemon and capers, and served it with baked cabbage & onion with a white sauce. Slurp.

So THAT's where the fish smell comes from.
