These security arrangements were genuinely poisonous, don’t you think? Upmarket London store Harrods hired a live Egyptian cobra to guard a pair of £60,000 jewel-encrusted designer sandals. The highly aggressive and deadly snake, called Cedric, was enclosed with the Rene Caovilla sandals, which were encrusted with rubies, sapphires and diamonds. Some sales gimmick indeed. I wish to presume Cedric is gifted free to the buyers of the jewel-studded sandals. :)
Wearing those sandals, the owner would probably feel regal like Cleopatra, and could use Cedric to put an end to his/her life - exactly like Cleopatra did!
