It Just Didn't Register

Hello, Can We Please Get Some Service Here?

The good citizens of Northglenn, Colorado, deserve a special award. Some honest shoppers at an unstaffed Dollar Tree store must have decided that honesty was the best policy while searching for bargains on Labor Day. After a lock malfunctioned, about 15 shoppers walked through the front doors of the closed store, without noticing a sign on the doors indicating the store was closed for the holiday. One woman became suspicious when there was no one at the register to ring up her purchase, so she called authorities. Police were able to contact a manager, who fixed the lock and closed the store.

Northglen sounds like a good place to live. Having trouble here, wondering how come this kind of thing doesn't happen everywhere? Must be our constant big city desire to "have it all".

i agree with catmoves. and may i add, it is telling in this day and age that such honesty is actually newsworthy. sad commentary on how bad things have gotten.

Hi Catmoves,

You echoed my thoughts precisely. That, and the fact that the story was news-worthy!

Says a lot about the world we live in, hey!

I think that lady was my wife...she never passes one of these stores without having to go in - even on vacation!
