Who's Keeping Stabs On Brutus?
Beware the ides of March indeed. We've all heard the saying, "the show must go on", but for one actor that was easier said than done. Kent Reed was playing the part of Brutus in a production of Julius Caesar, in Aspen. He was supposed to stab Caesar, but instead inflicted a real knife wound on himself. He said, "I pulled the switchblade out of my pocket, reared back, and instead of going like this I went like that." He was taken to the hospital and is now a minor celebrity after his cutting edge performance.

I appreciate and got a smile from your suggested post title - please come back and take a look at the former "Bumper Horse". Your idea was perfect for the photo - (why didn't I think of that?)
I enjoy hearing from you, and reading what you write, you are a gifted writer - but I guess you already know that.
So where was the fake knife... if i was ceaser I'd be a little worried someone was trying to get me stabbed.
ouch (for him) and ha ha ha (for us) at all the word play in this post!
Aren't they meant to use rubber knives anyway??
G'day Whimsy,
Yes, as an amateur actor, I know what you mean!

Hi Wendy the Good Little Wichitan,
Thank you. I'm glad you liked it. It just popped into my head as soon as I sawyour shot.
Sure, will have a look at the previous horse shot.
Thanks for the great compliment. I am realistic enough to know I am probably a decent writer; but I am humble enough to know it's because of many influences and mentors in my life - which is why I mentor as many others as possible.

Hi Anamika,
Thanks for visiting. Glad you enjoyed the word play. I wouldn;t have done it if the guy had been seriously injured ...

Hi Jo,
Ziggackly (exactly) - and when we did Macbeth in boarding school (I was in Year Nine) one of the ``swords'' broke off at the hilt during a fencing scene and almost decapitated the Rector.

That would be my luck! Funny!
I didn't know they used switchblades...was this a back alley production?
oh, Oh, OH!!! you are soooo feeding my pun addiction!!!
A switchblade? Really? Was it a leftover prop from West Side Story? How strange, how illegal in fact.
