The thing that really caught my attention here was the soft amber glow of the street lamp here in Melbourne. Then I looked around and realised that the glow seemed to suffuse many aspects of the scene. It was reflected not only on the metal surface of the street lamp itself, but it kissed the wires as well, and even touched the castle-like structure on the left.
And as I got my camera out, I realised I had an interesting silhouette against the sky as well. This shot was an interesting exercise in very low light, but the overall effect of the variety of angles is almost like visual geometry as well.

I have a query.
For paperback rights, a book I found locally said I should expect the following:
In the "home market"
First 10,000 copies 7.5% of cover price
ALL copies thereafter (even a million copies!) 10% and nothing more.
On export sales 10% of net something or other (can't remember the terminology but it was LESS)
I complained in my blog about this yesterday because Jeffrey Archer gets 17.5% of hardback "cover price"....
Do you know what the rates should be? Surely I can get more than 10% of cover price on sales over say 50,000? I know it might NOT sell that much, but what if it does? Know what I mean.... I don't know....

A Canadian friend of mine once said that I photograph the things that most people walk past because they take the sights for granted. I like that description!
