Greece Is The Word

They Just Flunked Their Rhodes Scholarship

Oops, wrong country. Three Norwegian tourists who planned a holiday on the Greek island beach resort of Rhodes landed instead in the southwest French town of Rodez after mis-typing their destination in an internet booking. The three, identified only as Bente, Marit and Knut, were surprised when their flight landed in Rodez, which boasts a medieval town centre with a 13th century cathedral, but no beaches. The trio stayed until day's end, then returned to Norway.

G'day Whims,

Nice touch. I can just imagine their consternation when the plane landed!

Keep smiling

Going home again on day 1? Bit surly of them.

Personally I would have stayed, there's nothing like a serendipitous accident.
