The Damp Busters

Drench Warfare Ends The Long Drought

Photograph copyright: DAVID McMAHON

Took this shot about 90 minutes ago, just to give you an idea of how happy we are to see the rain. To put it in perspective, we've just had the driest 12-month period in history. But it was all so different today. Grey sky all day. Lots of umbrellas. The garden is actually squelchy underfoot for the first time in several months. But I had to get outdoors with the camera, to capture the scene for you. The entire state of Victoria has been well and truly drenched - as you can see by these pearl-like raindrops on my rose bushes.
