Lock, Shock And Barrel
Police in New Zealand are puzzled after burglars broke into a police station and locked themselves into a cell block. The intruders got into Matamata police station through a window, but as they entered the cell block a self-locking door closed behind them. Sergeant Graham McGurk said they had to smash their way out by throwing a chair through a plate glass window. "We don't know the motive. No prisoners were being held at the time," he said. "No attempt whatsoever has been made to get to firearms or other police equipment." Three police officers were on duty but none was at the station.

Escaped through a plate glass window?? Little wonder no other prisoners were being held, surely?
Seems they'd need to be voluntary around those parts!
Corr Blimey
Do stupid people outweigh the smart? Or is it just that their stupid actions hold more weight?
Hmmmmm?
Hi Carol,
It was a, um, window of opportunity.
Keep smiling

Hi there, Ak-Man,
Of all the places in the world to break into, I'm trying to fathom why they opted for the local police station!
Cheers
David
