Are You Otherwise Engaged?
A Chinese woman passed out after accidentally swallowing an engagement ring her boyfriend had hidden in a cake. The man said he was inspired by romantic movies in which leading men hid rings in cakes and gave them to their girlfriends. Doctors used a catheter to retrieve the ring, but after being revived, the woman accepted the marriage proposal.

amusing...if I put this in a novel I'd make it tragic and say she choked and died on the ring....and the guy would regret his romantic impulse ever after!
I believe I'd ask for a new ring. ;)
Some women are just a tad sensitive....(I hope she learned to slow down when she eats, at any rate!)
