Relationship Reaches Breaking Pint

Pointing out stories you may have missed. One last pint cost a Cumbrian man his fiancee and all of his worldly possessions. Jason Wilson, 24, wanted to stay out for a final pint but fiancee, Emma Thomason, wanted to go home. Enraged, she put everything he owned, from clothes to CDs, in his £10,000 van and drove it into the harbour near their home in Whitehaven. The couple, who have two children together, have now called off their August wedding. They had bought the wedding rings, Ms Thomason's dress and just 24 hours before the row had booked a £2,000 honeymoon to the Caribbean. The van was left in 12 feet of water. Finally, it was hauled back up the slipway using winches, which had to be attached by a professional diver.

She probably needed to get home to watch the Simpsons with her small Bear. Who can blame her. The price of disappointing a small Bear is very high, you know.

I actually caught this story and was just laughing!

OK, its not quite funny for the guy . . . but you have to laugh.

If thats what the 'love of your life' will do to you, you better keep a close eye on your friends and family.

. . . his kids probably helped to load up the van!

Oh so funny. What I wanted to find out was whether she had taken the trip to the Caribbean?
An old Aussie saying also crept into my mind: "Good on yeh mate!"

Hi BTBear,

Exactly - could not have put it better myself. Maybe it was too much for her to bear.

Hi Shrink,

A blogpost, please - and you can disguise the names and locations.

Long live your interesting clan.

Hi Ak-Man,

Okay, I'll admit it - I laughed as well, even though you have to feel their pain.

Hi Catmoves,

The Aussie saying is certainly appropriate there! And yes, you;ve asked the most perceptive question of all. Did she go and if so, whom did she take?

Hmm. Kind of puts the arguments I have with Anita (or the other way around) in perspective. We don't do anything as interesting. :-) Good story.

I'm wondering if shrink wrapped scream is joking or serious in her comment above. You evidently believe it's the latter...
