Sunny Afternoon Is Just A Breeze
Photograph copyright: DAVID McMAHON
It was such a spectacular afternoon today that I took my camera downstairs at lunchtime. There was a strong breeze, but the temperature was actually quite balmy, a lot warmer than it has been all week. I shot a few frames by the river and some more at Southbank, but this shot gives you an idea of the essence of the precinct. Tall gum trees, clear blue sky - and wavery reflection on the side of an office building.

David, I must admit, Blogging is new to me and only since I have been reading Debbie's blog have I been hooked. Now I am reading yours as well. I just have been offered early retirement and am thinking of taking a photography course. I recently returned from a visit with DH in Utah and he put me up at Sundance Resort. My pictures came out beautiful and I was very impressed. Your photos are great. I am inspired.
It's in the 80s heer today. Too hot fer small furry bears. Good job we hav a new book to read....

Man,
I sure wish it was that nice here. It is raining all day... no, all week, here, so I would really like to take a trip down to Australia! One day I'd like to live somewhere that warm!
Hey the butterfly, interesting perspective on the picture. I don't really like you though. get off my blog.
Hey The Chosen One, god u need to mess off
Nice picture David, I like the reflection. I still haven't received your book yet. Perhaps I should send them an angry email with lots of sad faces to express my disappointment. Also, you have been tagged on my blog. See the latest posting for more details.
David, are you having a bad day, or is someone else masquerading as you?!!!!
What was that about?
Some one made a VERY bad copy of you. The price of fame, I guess. You have a good...no, AWESOME blog Mcmahon!
The Chosen One

Hi anonymous,
I can understand why you would be hooked after reading Debbie's wonderful blog. She always has an interesting slant on life.
Congratulations on finding a new interest in life. Go for the photography course and you'll be amazed at how differently you start looking at things.
You didn't nick any restaurant mascots while you were with DH, did you!!
Glad you like my pictures - but do give me your url. I'd love to have a look.
Cheers
David
Hi BTBear,
Just returned from your blog - and was delighted at the update and of course the picture.
You are hereby appointed head of my publicity department.
My thanks, as always
David
Hi Butterfly,
I'm glad you like the blog. Nice of you to drop by and leave a comment.
Cheers
David
G'day the chosen one,
Well, it was cold, rainy and miserable for the three days beforehand! The weekend is going to be great weather as well.
Yes, come and live Down Under. It's a warm, friendly land.
Cheers
David
Dear David McMahon-clone,
Anyone who knows me would understand that abrasiveness is not part of my psyche.
I would never leave a reply as coarse as that for anyone.
My apologies to the butterfly and the chosen one, both of whom I'm sure would understand that comment No.5 above is obviously NOT by me.
Good wishes all round
David
Hi Dan,
Thanks for the tag - will check it out shortly.
Interesting that the book hasn't arrived yet. Did they give you an indication of how long it would take?
BTBear ordered it from Linux and as you'll see on Bob's Diary, the book arrived in nine days.
Ah well, maybe your copy will arrive today.
Glad you liked the picture.
Take care
David
Hi BTBear,
Someone masquerading as me, alas. As you know, I'd never shunt anyone.
Keep smiling
David
Hi the chosen one,
Thanks, I'm glad you realised that comment was NOT by me.
Glad you like the blog. Do come back and I hope you continue to enjoy my work.
My thanks, again
David
Hi anonymous,
In my humble opinion tcosgarage is a terrific blog.
I'll defened that blog (and all it stands for) in any forum.
Cheers
David
Hey,
Thanks for defending me like that. Like I said before, if people want to diss people, that's their problem. You just gotta move on! (ok, so that was real cheesy, but hey, my blog isn't thaaaat bad.)
The Chosen One
G'day the chosen one,
No worries at all. As you know, I really enjoy your blog.
Hey, and cheesy is good, I reckon!
Take care
David
Very nice Shot David, liked it very much.
Thanks Pijush,
I was lucky that the colours were so striking. Also, it's not every day you see tall native trees alongside high-rise offices.
Cheers
David
