A Fish Called Wander

She Was Streets Ahead Of The Others

Pearl the goldfish was back in safe waters on the weekend - thanks to the efforts of vigilant British firemen in Oxford. They came to the rescue after the 10cm pet was spotted swimming down a flooded street after apparently being washed out of her bowl in someone's home. Officers scooped her into a bucket and set her up in temporary accommodation at the Rewley Road fire station, where she will remain until reclaimed.

FOOTNOTE: What is Pearl’s Zodiac sign? Aquariums?

'Wander' sounds like a keeper for the fire station, to me. How does one accidently wash their fish down the street?

G'day Darlene,

Yes and like I always say, you are two steps ahead of me, skipping ahead as I try and catch up.

Too clever for me!!!

Hi SLB,

I'm guessing he was tired of life in the goldfish bowl.

Or maybe he was green around the gills!
