Post Of The Day

I'm opening the envelope - and the award goes to Dot, for her stunning photographic post I Haven't Seen Many Butterflies Like This. Among the other posts that caught my eye today was the polished Excuse Me But Your Issues Are Showing by Victorya; and Sun, Sand and Surf by Phaseout Girl, who is just back from holiday. I'd like to mention two terrific posts in response to the question I posed on the weekend about whether we believe in ghosts. The first is Ghosts by The Kelson Krew; the other is My Grandparents' Ghosts by Laurie.

Wow, I'm honored! Or, floored. That was one I was a bit nervous about posting too. And thanks for the comment on my blog, I got a bit teary-eyed I'll admit.

Hi Victorya,

Could I give you some advice? Never be nervous about posting anything - not if you are inspired to write it in the first place.

An instinctive piece of writing is always brilliant writing, because it comes straight from the heart.

You do a wonderful job, Victorya

Cheers

David

This is completely unrelated but I wanted to stop by and say congrats on the tie for the caption contest.

We were neck-and-neck all the way and I think if it went one more day you would have won outright. :)

Oh it lifts me up so much that you choose posts like these, they are mostly valued friends of mine, and I love the work you recognise. Smile.

What a surprise! Thank you for the honor. It is probably a "once in a lifetime" picture for me!

Hi Chris,

Very kind of you to visit, to leave a comment and to be so gracious.

I really do appreciate the gesture. When I voted three days ago (for one of the others) the person I voted for was in the lead with 12.5 per cent of the vote and I think we were locked on about 10 per cent.

Well done, mate. Visited your blog and loved the ``child labour'' post.

Do keep in touch.

Keep smiling

Hi Carol,

Thank you for your support in this venture.

Someone once said to me, ``Do you realise that the first thing bloggers in Europe and the US see on your site every morning is the Post of the Day, which invites them to visit OTHER sites, rather than spend time on your own?''

Me: ``Yes.''

Him: ``Does it bother you?''

Me: ``No.''

Take care, Carol. Enjoy your weekend.

Keep smiling

David
