If ever one of the Scissor Sisters goes AWOL, this is where to start the search. These scissors were just sitting on a colleague's desk and I was intrigued by the colour of the grips. Almost like your grandfather's horn-rimmed reading glasses, don't you think? And because I never "set up"' my shots, I declined her offer to move her handbag out of the way. You can see it in the background, in soft focus. Looks like a Burberry to me, but I'm not sure.

I think you are right about the bag's brand.
The scissors are fine and all, but next time, if I may be so bold to ask, please get a better picture of the real beauty: the purse!
My mother has those scissors, I always thought a bit had snapped off on the outer part of the larger handle, but it must be a groove for the pinky finger to hide in.
Hi Priyank,
Funny you should say that, because you;re so right. When I was taking the picture, my colleague was looking at me and just going: ``What the?''

Hi Karoline,
Thank you - strangely enough, it was a difficult shot to take. I reckon I had to shoot about fiv or six frames before I was satisfied!

Hi Deborah,
Yes, I confirmed it today. The bag's owner said it is indeed a Burberry.

G'day Pope Terry,
They must be an iconic Aussie brand. Now I;m curious, I'll have to find out.
And good point about the resting spot for the pinky finger. hadn't thought of that.

It always amazes me how photographers see the interesting in every day things. Nice pic.
Hi Goddess,
Thank you, but I am currently taking Debbie Gamble's advice for the next shot!
