Photograph copyright: DAVID McMAHONFriday was Daffodil Day here in Australia. As a family, we too have been touched by the condition and recently lost a much-loved relative. This, the last weekend of the Australian winter, was the official fund-raiser for the Cancer Council, so I thought I should go out and find a daffofil that was not affected by last week's frosts. I was delighted to find this two-tone specimen and shot it, just to remind us all that blogging - or any form of creativity or means of human contact - is really a very deep affirmation of life.

I think you should of photographed it rather than shooting it...
ugh, thats a really poor joke. The mother unit bought some daffodils home a few days ago aswell.

I love daffodils! Nice post.
I have seen daffodils hit by frost and smiling again at the first ray of sun. They are a fitting symbol for the survivors of these terrible affliction. My sister and my father didn't, though.
That daffodil is almost 3D!

A truth has hit home, now. With the exception of my parents, and the two people I refer to myself as "family", ALL of my "people" are bloggers. Thank God for the internet.
