You Pay Peanuts, You Get, Er, Monkeys
Town hall staff in a Polish town have put a chimp on the payroll - as a tourism promotions inspector. The 17-year-old ape, called Bobby, is being paid about $140 a month in Radkow to plug a district called Table Mountains which has a cluster of outcrops known locally as Monkey Rock.

Animals just shouldn't be used like this, I really hope that someone who can do something about it hears about this and poor Bobby gets rescued by somewhere that can take care of him properly.
I'm with mima...sorry to hear of yet another animal being exploited like this...
Are you trying to make a monkey out of me? Believe me, it's been done before...

At least the ape is employed, which is more than can be said for a lot of Americans as the recession deepens.
He is probably making more money than many of the Radkowians.
You're aping around today and it's not even April Fools Day!
"A chimp off the old block" - excellent, David, just splendid!
