Trivia Pur$uit

In early 1978, a rookie journalist was given his first assignment - and he blinked in disbelief. He was to interview the naturalist and author Gerald Durrell. At the end of the interview, the Englishman, who wrote the bestseller `My Family And Other Animals', autographed a copy of the book for the apprentice journalist and even drew a personal sketch as well. Much later, the kid would go on to write a bestseller of his own - for the same publisher. To read the whole story and to find out the rookie's identity, go to Drawing On A Great Experience.

Ah, Detective-Sarn't Cooper,

Got it in one. But have a look at the link anyway - to check out the autograph and his artwork.

I still have the book in my study - but you knew that!

Cheers

David
