Back in the 1980s, there really was a Womble at Wimbledon. The computer that programmed the tournament draw was nicknamed Womble after the children's television programme, `The Wombles of Wimbledon'.
Of course I googled "Womble". Came up with: "Welcome to Womble Multimedia, home of the incredible video editing software package MPEG Video Wizard DVD, MPEG Video Wizard and MPEG2VCR!" On the other hand, Wikipedia took me to a site where I actually found a pic of one (snoring, for some obscure reason) but very funny character.
