Tap Dance

Serious Equipment Failure On German Train

Germany’s national railway wasn't about to risk sending a trainload of soccer fans to a German Cup match without beer. Federal police said yesterday that the beer tap had failed aboard a special train carrying Bayern Leverkusen fans to Hamburg at the weekend. ``In order not to endanger the good mood'' of the passengers, railway officials halted the train for 25 minutes and had a replacement part delivered by taxi.

G'day Cuckoo,

Being stuck on a train with no beer tap - that's a big trap!

Even for someone like me who doesn't drink!

G'day Maverick,

I've made some memorable journeys on Indian trains - without beer taps!

Will be back there to make one more (very brief) trip in December.

What city are you based in?
