Sky Channel

Strong Colours Of A Wintry Dusk

Photograph copyright: DAVID McMAHON

It's been grey and rainy all week, but Melbourne - being Melbourne - puts on a dazzling blue sky when you least expect it. We have had more than enough rain to keep the gardens green and this afternoon, the weather cleared into dazzling sunshine. I shot this at sunset, about half an hour ago. Intrigued by the grey and yellow tones in the cloud, as well as the strong azure of the sky? That's par for the course in this beautiful city. What do you reckon the cloud looks like? I'm going to say Humpty Dumpty, but let me know what you think.

Gee its been such I long time since I've just looked at the clouds and tried to find a picture... its a shame that the simple pleasures of childhood dissappear as we age. I guess theres awalys harry potter movies.

I vote that the cloud looks like a baby's pacifier.
