Nudge, Nudge, Wing, Wing

Riveting Sight, From This Angle

Photograph copyright: DAVID McMAHON

This Qantas Boeing 737 is completely painted in Aboriginal artwork, titled `Yananyi Dreaming'. During the recent International Air Show at Avalon, I had the opportunity to take some shots of the aircraft from unusual angles. This picture of the port winglet was taken from underneath. It's interesting to see the blue sky, because it was a very cloudy, grey day throughout. I was trying to concentrate on the rivets along with wing's leading edge, but this was one frame I couldn't resist.

This reminds me of something, but for the life of me, I can't put my finger on it. I've sat here for five minutes staring at the picture, trying to figure it out.

I definitely using your Rhyme and Treason suggestion.

PANTS!!!!!

It's a giant pair of pants!!!

That white bit is the waistband, and the right edge is one leg hole.

WOW!

I'm coming to Australia- you have giant pants!

Hi David,
Very unique angle and nicely captured shot. I liked the Taxi shot as well. You asked me, sorry for the late response, I am flying to India coming weekend and eager to buy and go through your book.
Will not be able to go through your blog for next few weeks, but will drop my comments time to time.
Take care.
With best regards,
Pijush

Hi Kalyan,

Thanks - I was lucky with the sky, but I knew the angle would be unusual.

Once again, thank you

Hi Pijush,

Thank you - and I hope you have a terrific trip to India.

Thanks, too, for promising to buy the novel. I'd be interested to know what you think of it.

Bon voyage.

Keep smiling

David

Kewl shot - the red contrasts nicely with the sky in the background.

Hi Ozlady,

Strange sky - it must have been the only patch of blue at that moment. It was one of those moody days, lots of grey sky but a warm wind.

Cheers

David
