Caption Cook

Two Endeavours Are Worthy Of Our Support

I’m all for promoting worthy sites and there are two bloggers who run regular contests. The livewire US blogger Bart invites one-line responses for a terrific concept called Rhyme And Treason. He gives us the first few lines of a poem, a song or a nursery rhyme – and all we have to do is `twist’ the last line. Simple as that. Check it out at Bartraeke.

And a UK-based blogger runs a daily caption contest at YesBut Images. He posts images every day and invites us to write witty captions for them. Simple as that. He says he’s getting more visitors, but fewer entries, so do help him along by encouraging the concept.

I’d just like to point out that both bloggers post links to the sites of those who enter. While I’m all for spreading the word on creativity and a bit of fun, entering their contests also brings you the added benefit of reciprocal traffic.

Rhyme And Treason

Toe The Line At Bart’s Blog

If you enjoy a laugh and if you chuckle at irreverence, then check out Bartraeke. He has launched a new game that is getting a fair bit of attention. He gives you the first few lines of a nursery rhyme, well-known song lyric or poem - and you can chip in and provide your own take on the last line. And because Bart is, well, Bart, you can be as funny as you want.
