It Wasn't Crime, It Was Science
Dutch police swooped on what they thought was an illegal cannabis farm - only to wreck a scientific experiment. The plants were part of a legal experiment on the use of cannabis fibres in textiles, paper and synthetic materials by the University of Wageningen.

Music To No One’s Ears
Maybe It’s All Smoke And Mirrors
Parents in Bosnia and Herzegovina are fuming after education chiefs introduced a school music book that included a traditional Spanish song about smoking cannabis. La Cucaracha - popular in the Mexican civil war - is about a cockroach that can't walk because of all the marijuana it has smoked.

Nun The Wiser
Just Don’t Burn Those Plants, Mother Superior
A Greek Orthodox nunnery was turned into a marijuana plantation by two men posing as gardeners for elderly nuns. Acting on a tip-off, police raided the nunnery in the village of Filiro, near the northern port city of Thessaloniki, and found more than 30 large cannabis plants in the enclosed garden. Police did not arrest the nuns and have launched a hunt for the culprits.

Graze Anatomy
Swiss Cows Get The Wrong Grass
Switzerland's Agriculture Ministry has told farmers to stop feeding cows cannabis. Recent advertisements promoted feeding hemp to farm animals even after a March 2005 law banning its use. Officials warned that farmers who dope their cows will be prosecuted, according to Ananova. Farmers believe THC, the active ingredient in cheap and easy-to-grow cannabis, leads to great milk yield.
But officials in the Agriculture Ministry said THC can get into the milk and create a health risk. They also said that there was a risk that Swiss cheese products could be contaminated.
