Verse and worse

Nintendo and its boss have been plagued by their loss
And the shareholders themselves are exceedingly cross
They'll run past the steeple
As they sing: ``Wii the people''.

Johnny played a game on Wii
It had become his family
His mother hung her head in shame
Why did I ever buy this game

Books get my vote every time, Johnny.

Very kind of you to ask. Yes, the second novel was published by Penguin in March.

Thank you for your kind words.

We heard the case of a kid who developed tennis elbow. She does not play tennis - but the condition flared up because she was playing Wii tennis!

Nintendo's boss is not a happy bunny
Because his firm has lost a lot of money
The shareholders are wearing a huge frown
Because their profits are 'way down'.
They thumped the table and demanded Wii
Sales for the games had plunged from record high.
They said, "Mate we are showing you the door
. . because the share price is going through the floor!"

This time I'll admit defeat
Your rhymes are just so neat
You've become somewhat of a bard
And to follow this is hard
It's certainly difficult to compete.

You know I really want to play
But since my blog has gone astray
I must confess
My brain's a mess
Like soggy, mushy puree
[still can't find the accent aigu]

There once was a Station from Sony
That wanted to Play like a Pony
But something went bong
The version was wrong
Now it sits moping and lonely.
