Bank Blames A Lack Of Interest
A small-town US bank in Tightwad, Missouri, that drew more than $2 million in deposits from around the country because of its unusual name will close on January 31. The Tightwad Bank opened on a shoestring in 1984, but customers are being urged to do their banking at other branches. Part of the problem , according to Forbes.com is population - or lack of it. Tightwad, population 63, has eight more residents now than when the bank opened.

dont be such a tightwad is funny. how about one from your own childhood surroundings? confused interest in an unknown area called democracy - in india's northeast tribal chieftains got elected to legislative assemblies only to end up learning embazzlement and dishonesty?
Strangely enough, I've never been to India's northeast, but it's a region I'd love to visit.
