Prank And File

That's Not A Chimney, Santa

Three fire engines were called out to Cambridge University after a Santa hat was put on top of a spire as a student prank. Students fastened the red hat to the spire of the famous Gate of Humility at Gonville and Caius College as an end of term joke. A team of more than 10 firemen and three fire engines spent more than an hour using a hydraulic platform to get the hat down.

Perhaps a strong wind and a bit of time would have saved the town some money...that and a bit of patience!

What makes me think that the students did not use a hydraulic platform? ;-)

I think I would have opted to leave it. A sense of humor is imperative in life. After all, a merry heart worketh good like a tonic!
