Santa Pause

Rudolph The Red-Faced Safety Inspector

Santas in Britain are going on health and safety courses, organised by Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, so they don't hurt themselves balancing children on their knees. Lessons include the correct posture to adopt in their chairs. They are also being taught how to lift heavy presents without doing themselves an injury.

Probably not a bad idea when you think about it...something to do with ergonomics!

What's next? A seminar on common sense? *hem*

Don't get me started on the sheer irrelavance of the Nanny State Police. I am grinding down my remaining delicately balanced molars every morning at the breakfast table. Sack the lot and save us tax payers money. The leeches sit in their comfy offices, drinking tea and trying to justify their enormous expenses [they are usually Quangos] by thinking up ridiculous ideas to save us from ourselves. Grrrrrrr!!!!
I can't laugh 'cos it isn't funny.

Well, Moannie said what I was thinking, so I don't have to.

Hey, that's discrimination that is - everyone knows it's the elves that do all the heavy grunt-work.
Next comes a strike, you'll see.

For what 'merisi' said, there is NO teachings for common sense!
So many people today, just don't seem to have it, which also comes with being responsible for your own actions.

Love the title. Sad but true this kind of absurd post is the norm these days in the UK. I really do think there are rather more pressing issues though.
