Court Napping

Judgement For The Plaintive

Cases had to be adjourned at Bristol Crown Court after garlic oil was spread on radiators. The pungent smell spread through the building after oil was also put in plant pots along the first floor and corridor to the restaurant. Jurors, judges, barristers and defendants had to leave the entire 10-courtroom building.

FOOTNOTE: Objection sustained.

Yes, we read about this.
There was no need to try to kill the plants off too! That was way over the top!

That is bizarre! Mind giving a link to the whole story?

A backlash perhaps to the onslaught of Vampire movies and books?? Perhaps some of the Undead Down Under??

Outrageously funny...reminds me of the time when a prankster put limberger cheese on the radiator in my history instructor's classroom...you thought garlic oil was bad...whew! Never forgot that!

What a waste of perfectly good stuff, and court's time...!!!

I do know that smell. Garlic that concentrated can make any-one nauseous. Nasty prank, that.

Reminds me of my dad's stories of growing up with a 1 room school house in the middle of Oklahoma (1920's). In the cold, dead of winter some of the kids in the back would clear out the school by chewing on, and then 'blowing garlic'.

what's so bad about garlic?Doesn't everyone eat a bulb a day?Actually, I know someone who does; she does live alone, but she's very healthy. I've seen a bear but never a vampire in her woods. She owns 30+ sled dogs, and they happily kiss her.

Skunk spray, though. Now there's a nose-pincher.

Well... that's one surefire way to get a continuance. Very inventive.
