On The Edge Of His Seat

Or Maybe He Was On The Seat Of His Edge

A South Yorkshire motorist was charged with careless driving after he nearly followed his sat nav over the edge of a cliff. He finally realised something was seriously wrong when his BMW hit a fence just inches from a 100-foot drop. It took nine hours for a recovery team to haul the car away from the cliff edge.

FOOTNOTE: Drop in any time.

Brilliant. Talk about being technology dependent.

Those navigators quite often give falls directions but this is priceless.

Yet another reason not to rely too much on technology.

Good grief. Was he driving with his eyes closed? I think I would have taken away his license.

Usually those systems are smarter than the driver ... in this case it was like the blind leading the blind

Yes, children,
this is where the expression
"dropping like a not so hot BMW" comes from. ;-)

What, he was staring at the Sat Nav instead of looking out his view screen? I mean, I think I would have seen the fence. And at this point, was he still on a road? Hello!?

I think the word verifier has this one right: staynbar He should have stayed in the bar ... or maybe not gone in, in the first place!

If the sat nav says straight ahead, I'm driving straight ahead! Oops, canyon...
