Verse And Worse

Random Wit, Errant Rhyme. Not A Literary Crime

Although this might sound rather chilling
The accountant’s name was Bob Shilling
But that’s not quite as strange as the man on the phone
He’s the boss of the opera, and he’s called Barry Tone

I don't feel chilled by Shilling at all!
And Barry Tone is welcome to call.
But John Quill sounds terribly 'wet'
And Peter Borough I'd rather forget!

Thanks.

Clever word play. I almost missed the first to last name connection in Barry Tone... then duh! ha. I enjoy these so much.

Barry Tone and Sopra No
To the opera they did go
In spite of their devotion
They caused quite a commotion
They forgot to sing
Too busy kissing!

Bob Silling grew into a wealthy 'fiver',
But was a huge and lazy skiver,
. . . . . . .

Sorry got to go my dinner is on the table and I have orders to have it immediately by 'she who must be obeyed!'

Sorry I have not been round lately - I've been busy at work.
Boy it's been chaos at my place - pop over and have a peep!
