There I was in the Yukon a few weeks ago, shooting stunning fall scenes around Burwash Landing, when I decided to take a walk around the place to explore other possible photos.
When I saw this huge sign for Burwash Lodge, I had a big grin on my face because I knew Misty Dawn would be proud of my effort. Just for the record, Burwash Landing is not far from Haines Junction, which would have to be one of the most beautiful spots on the Alaska Highway.
And the Visitor Centre at Burwash Landing is a serious must-see stop, especially to witness the way the local wildlife is displayed so realistically.

Alaska has so many distinct areas that make you feel as though you are in dream world. My next big trip will be on the Alaska Cruise...that is if I can talk Mac into getting on another ship! We'll see.
