A Peri-Peri Mason Mystery
Sometimes you see things that put a big grin on your face. This Nando’s delivery truck was parked in the city on Wednesday and so I walked round the front to take a shot of the words painted above the engine grille.
Peri-Peri Sauce is the famous hot sauce perfected by Nando’s and is thought to derive from the Portuguese "piri-piri", which is a generic term for any spicy sauce. No doubt Erle Stanley Gardner, who created the fictional Perry Mason, and Raymond Burr – who played him on screen – would have approved.
Immediately after I took this shot, I cocked my head to listen for the drums. You’re not familiar with the drums? Let me explain - "Can you hear the drums for Nando’s".

"Can you hear the drums for Nando.." Haha, you crack me up!
O, m , GOD that's a bad joke! Hahahaha!
LOL! Good one!
So, that would be Portugues "Abba original" art! ;)
too cute... not a big abba fan but I still got it. even in a turkey coma. thanks for stopping by and the thanksgiving wishes.. your book looks really interesting.
I'll admit to being the clueless one here. *LOL* But happy PSF. :)
Now I have ABBA songs in my head, so um, thanks for that.
(Loved the quilt complex joke too. Thanks for stopping by my blog!)
Mama mia!
I once, inadvertently, shot some hot sauce up my nose, and if peri peri is anything like that stuff, it should run for a good long time.
hmmm...i don't know what you are talking about :(( Sorry, maybe i don't listening music tooooo long.
My PFS entry this week : in HERE. Hope you have time to visit . Thanks
That is so funny!
Didn't know you were an Abba fan!
Jolly good shot! Excellent wit, as usual.
Hilarious, quirky joke at the end! Great post!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'll have to join Kelli and the clueless club about your joke though. *sigh*
I think those that are not getting the pun, are a tad too young to remember Abba - even with the resurgence of their music in the movie/musical Mama Mia. Abba had a hit song back in the 70's called Fernando. The opening line was "Can you hear the drums, Fernando?"
I hate to see a good pun get lost in the shuffle. :)
Geez...Oddly enough I ALREADY had an Abba song stuck in my head, now I have two!!!
ABBA was supposed to reunite to play at my wedding. **sigh** didn't happen, but I love anything that puts one of their songs in my head.
I can remember long ago and on a starry night like this....
I like hot sauce.
There was something in the air that night-
My fave word Sophie says is 'spicy'
The stars so bright.
Don't know why I am going on like this! Happy PSF!
That must be some HOT sauce!
The picture is, as usual, very cool. I was trying to work out what it was of,thanks for' slpaining it!
