Verse And Worse

Random Wit, Errant Rhyme. Not A Literary Crime

Whenever you’re waiting for the dust to settle
Just go to the kitchen and put on the kettle
A brew or two will always help you
And act as a tonic to fight the flu

I am not trying to be rude
but if you had any fortitude
you would take a pill
and quietly be ill.

Hopefully your dust(and ash from the fires) will settle down soon enough, and the weather will cool down/

Got your comment about my poetry selection. Keats has always been a favorite of mine.
Found your blog, and I have to say, it is quite interesting. Nice pictures, too.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog.
Safe to say I will be back to yours before long.

I certainly wish I had your way with words (I think)!

Puts this Brit' in a stew!

I prefer a toddy of red wine.
Reading about crocodiles in Queensland streets.
Any flooding around you?

Now I wonder, my good man
Knowing this is a good plan
What you think is a good brewski
For shaking off a case of the fluski

I don't want to just butt in
But I'd prefer a hefty gin
It numbs the tongue
And soothes the throat
And it's got the word "tonic" built right in!

When I have the flu
I'll take your brew
But first I'll add
A dollup or two
Of Honey and Rum
To sooth the tum.

Cheers!
