Trivia Pursuit

The world's first three-dimensional postage stamps were issued by the tiny Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan, way back in the Sixties. The 3D effect was provided by a ridged plastic overlay and the stamps are still traded on eBay.

Hi Namgay,

Great to hear from you. Will definitely check out your site.

Yes, I have been planning a trip to Bhutan for a year - but I sent an email to a classmate of mine who is a Government official and I have never heard back from him.

In fact, I sent him a follow-up email a few weeks later - but never got an acknowledgement or a reply.

I offered to come to Bhutan and photograph the kingdom for the Bhutanese tourism authorities. As a Darjeeling (North Point) student, I have a great affinity with the kingdom and I would consider it a great honour to come there to capture the essence of Bhutan with my cameras.

It would be great if you could give me some advice on this matter.

Best wishes

David
