Let's Have A Round Of Applause For Bart
On Thursday, I posted the inaugural Question Time and while quite a few readers got four correct answers (without using the Internet for help) only Bart got them all right.
The questions were: 1. Who is the voice of Bart Simpson? 2. Which industry was synonymous with London's Fleet Street? 3. For what is the name of the cruise line P&O an abbreviation? 4. Oprah Winfrey received an Oscar nomination and a Golden Globe nomination for her role in which film? 5. How many novels did Harper Lee publish after To Kill A Mockingbird?
The answers were: 1. Nancy Cartwright, 2. Newspaper journalism, 3. Peninsula and Orient(al), 4. The Color Purple and 5. None.
But I also said I would make mention of the funniest wrong answer and there were several contenders. The best answer came from Holly who said P&O stood for "Pretentious and obstinate? No, this is a trick question. it's actually a play on the latin word peando, which is their word for ferrying people expensively around Europe." There was also a great answer from Julie, who said P&O stood for "Posh and Overpriced"; while Lime declared it stood for "Putrid & Overboard, a warning for those passengers not engaging in basic hygiene".

you know, i'm just a girl from nowhere, wyoming, population 5. and one of those was a cat. blind in one eye. but none of the other three people in the town ever dreamed that i could achieve such true greatness, and it's them i think of when i say "ha ha, neener neener."
*LOL @ some of the funny answers!*
Merci....
Well, looks like Bart is smarter than a 5th grader and maybe a few grades above that. :) Congratulations, Bart!
