He Was At His Witz' End
A Polish man who pasted a notice on a bus stop asking vandals to stop vandalising it was arrested - for vandalism. Janusz Nowak, 61, was arrested as he pasted the message on a pavement in the southern Sosnowiec. His notice read: "Dear vandals, please stop destroying the bus stop." A police spokesman said: "Although the man wanted to express his indignation towards hooligans' behaviour he unfortunately broke the law himself."
FOOTNOTE: He wanted a rest, not arrest.

Maybe if he had written the sign in Polish the police would have ben more understanding.
That's just rubbish! He was really having a bad day that day, wasn't he?
Just like your littering story, too bad, good intentions sometimes turn into punishment, Anna :)
Ha! I believe it! Once when my bike was stolen, for the 3rd time by the same teenage boys, I called the cops who said that since I didn't have a serial number it would be my world vs. theirs & that they could do nothing. I said 'Fine! I'll just go get it then' and was promptly advised that if I went up their porch & took my bike back I could be arrested for trespassing! Lol...sad, but true!
Off Topic....I haven't bounced around the blog world much at all in months & notice taht I cannot get into Shrink-Wrapped's blog anymore. Do you still visit her? If so, is she ok? and will you let her know that I think of her?
thanks.
That's how MY luck runs. ;)
