Well, I won't mention how much over forty, but smaller definitely works!
Just the idea of quadratic equations (whatever they are) make my brain hurt...
But if your numbers are wrong
Sing yourself a happy song
The world is so much more than math
And the sober math teacher's wrath.
Sing and laugh and dance a pattern
With the sweetest girl or sauciest slattern.
Sing and dance and give out a laugh.
Let others tend to the pie chart and graph.
You do know that when the equation's a figure, it's going to be smaller in the mind of a woman...unless she's shopping...in which case she just gives herself a raise in pay!

Years ago,
quadratic equations were my forte, and a few months ago
I helped my grandson with parabolic equations,
but now I stick to hyperbole.
They cause abrasions all year around.Equations are injurious to your health.
aaaaargh, this sounds like numbers are involved.....
