Verse and worse

Way out in space, it’s a special occasion
A decade of humans aboard the space station
The crew can’t play football, or bring home fresh prawns
But there’s no noisy neighbours, or mowing of lawns

There was no disgrace to fly through space and leave a mark while there
So she zipped up her suits and put on her boots
While grabbing a brush for her hair
She always loved a mystery and now she's making history
She wanted to do it with flair!

I wouldn't go out into space
I'd sooner stay safe in my place.
Here it's not rosy
But very cosy
I can pop out & get chips with plaice.

Hooray to that. Hubby and I could live in outer space just for the quiet.

Even though men have been to the moon
You won't get me there any time soon
I really hate flying
I'll just end up crying
Life here on earth is a boon.

Great work, Bernie - it sounds like a 21st century Mrs Jetson.

Shadow - you're so right about the silence. And no phones ringing, either!
