Weekend Wandering

Tell Us Your Own Toy Story

Here's some weekend fun for us to share. Last weekend, I asked what made you happy - and your responses included some amazing posts as the chain reaction continued. Please answer today's question on your own blog, any time until next weekend. Please link to this blog (or to this post) just so I can follow the progress of the discussion.

And the question is: Which toy was your childhood favourite?

My Julia doll - remember that afternoon TV series about the working (as a nurse), African American, single mom and her little boy? Well I had the dolly. Julia had a ring pull in the back of her neck which, when pulled, made Julie say inane things (so inane in fact I can't recall even one of her phrases). Many a lark Julia and I had together....but that's another story!

Cheers for coming on down to Skanky town David, and double cheers for the blogroll link !! I shall return the favour!

oh you know, i saw a book inthe bookstore the other week that was just so dear. it was all 'portraits' of beloved stuffed toys or blankets alongside of a breif 'bio' for each one. it was such a lovely collection and i have wanted to do a post in a similar vein for a while. i may or may not get to it this week, but look for it sooner rather than later.
