Saw Point

Power Play Is A Shocking Discovery

Police in central England are hunting for a badly scorched would-be copper power cable thief after finding a hacksaw embedded in an 11,000 volt power cable. The thief, who also left a lit blowtorch at the scene, is expected to be “badly charred, spiky haired and not exactly the brightest bulb in the socket”. Nearly 800 customers in the village of Creswell were cut off when the wannabe copper thief sawed into their power supply, but power was restored in a few hours.

David - I am answering here as I feared that leaving a comment on B for Beginning might be overlooked now. I loved your synopsis of your upcoming book. Your description had me rubbing my hands with anticipation - let me get my hands on this one sort of thing...
Your pics of Gravenhurst brought a tear I must say - I didn't live there but visited often enough.

Thank you for asking for my opinion. I hope you can see it is obvious that I look forward to your book coming out and be sure I will let you know how I feel about it once I read it.

If you are interested - what I am blogging about is all under the label of truth on my sidebar. It is about my life of abuse and how I saw that as love - I too would appreciate your opinion. Some of my posts are actual excerpts from my book in progress.

Amazing!
I googled copper wire +thieves, they are active from Fresno California to Guam! I feel a bit sorry for them, having to rip the copper out of live wires! Here in Austria the thieves steal whole truckloads of vergin copper wire, straight from building sites or the like. Some of them fortunately get caught at the border.

The guy is seriously lucky that he is still alive, if he managed to get away without any harm he is even luckier still. What a stupid thing to do, people are incredible.
