Stag Knight

It’s A Long Way To Munich, Guv

A British taxi driver in Portsmouth was astounded when a man asked to be taken 740 miles (almost 1200 kilometres) to Munich, for a friend’s stag night at Oktoberfest. Cabbie Mick Hogan checked the mileage using his satnav and explained that the fare would be about $4000. They were there 17 hours later.

Sounds like the man had enjoyed his own "fest" beforehand. I remember my dad going to the Oktober Fest a long time ago, I have a few very large jugs which he brought home. I think they are about 3 pint mugs!

What sort of tip did he leave ... 10 pence ?

It's not unusual for people in the UK to take a taxi for 100 miles but that distance seems rather unusual .. is this a tall story ?? ( Urban myth ! )
