That's funny, David! It's also so close to reality it's scary. My Mom & Dad grew up during the Great Depression. Your last line became a true statement for many folk. Let's hope we don't go there again.

What is so scary is the fact that so few of the fat cats are feeling the pinch, while those whose pensions are lost face a cruel retirement.
Our PM is more concerned with the coming election...he must hope that we forget that he was Chancellor for ten years, sold off our gold reserves and played a huge part in getting us into this mess.

Our only weapon is our vote, but frankly, who do we believe or trust?
