High On A Hill Lives A Musical Farmer

The Milk Of Human Kindness

The hills are alive with the sound of music after an Alpine farmer compiled a CD of his farm animals' favourite tunes. The livestock expert has been serenading the animals on the family farm in Birkfeld, Austria, with his accordion for more than a decade. He and his family stage live concerts for the animals to help with milk yield.

FOOTNOTE: Que sera, seranade.

Yay! Will the CD be up for sale anytime soon?

I'll be breeding my mini-mancha goat for milk next Spring. Sure would be nice if she was happy enough to be generous with the milk. :)

word verification: 'hyrap'

I suppose hy rap would not be conducive to milk yields?

Now, someone needs to conduct some scientific research on this...perhaps a little economic stimulus money will get it going...LOL...but seriously, I hypothesize that music does indeed encourage milk production...after all, isn't it proverbial wisdom that music soothes the savage beast? Great post! Janine
